We are
the Whobrey family of Southern Indiana.
we welcome you to come on in and
enjoy our Hoosier Hospitality! My
husband Ed and I have two sons who now
have families of their own.
Raising them was our most
important job,
It was hard at times, it was fun
most times.
It was the best job ever! We now
have three grandchildren to spoil and
enjoy. We live in the country,
landscaped with beautiful red pines we
planted as seedlings.
My husband and I share a deep
love of animals.
They have always been an
important part of our lives.
As a child growing up
we always adopted rescued dogs
and still do.
They made great family members
and left us with many wonderful
memories. Our dogs are
pets and companions first.
They are happiest when they are
with us, whether it be inside our home
napping or outside playing on our
seven acres.
I saw my first
mastiff twelve years ago. I was in awe of
their massive size and gentle beauty.
I knew someday I would own one of
these beautiful creatures.
Little did I realize they would
own me.
Three and a half years ago, we
brought home our first Mastiff.
This was quite a change for us;
at the time our four-legged family
consisted of two quarter horses, two
yorkies and a black lab.
Mya grew quickly and we soon
realized our girl needed a playmate and
companion.
It took us two years to find our
next mastiff, Ryder. ~ They are best
buds~
I have always
wanted to show dogs, but my work schedule
didn't afford the time.
My schedule has since changed and
I was encouraged to jump in the ring,
and that is what I did.
This past year has been an
incredible journey.
I have met many nice people and
have made several good friends.
Ryder has finished and earned his
AKC championship, his national and
International puppy and adult
championships,
received first in his class at
the national specialty in Denver in 2006 and earned his CGC and TDI
certifications..
I am so proud of this boy!
We have
learned the importance of health
screening, (OFA-HIPS & ELBOWS,
PATELLA
,CARDIAC, THYROID,CERF, VWD,
CYSTINURIA & PRA DNA).
He is also DNA profiled.Health
testing is not a guarantee but is
important to do what we can to protect
and ensure the health, soundness,
longevity and good temperament of this
noble breed.
We hope you
enjoyed
our Hoosier hospitality be sure
to come back for
new updates.
Thanks for
visiting,
